oacfurea ila All of the elders, preachers, and visitors enjoyed hearing George Bailey speak at the Elder-Preacher Banquet. E. Claude Gardner speaks at Lecture- ship. The 1959 North Central Christian College Lecturesllip, held October ll through 15, carried the theme, Christian Education. Under the direction of Maurice Hall, lectures were held in the college chapel, college cafeteria, Rochester Church ol' Christ building, and the Rochester High School. There were approximately 25 speakers, including nine college presidents and deans. Mrs. Myrtle Overmeyer taught the ladies' classes. This was the second lectureship of North Central Christian College, but it was during this that the lormal opening of the school occurred. There was a total attendance of over 5,000 peo- ple, the highest for one night being 800. Did you get the pitch?

ridfmad parcwle I I l ' Xp ,Q North Central Christian College entered in local activities during the Christmas season by building a float for the Rochester Annual Christmas Parade. Under the direction ol Miss Eva Thompson, the student body constructed a large sleigh, the body of which was gold, the runners and trimnung in white, and NCCC in white against the gold background. The efforts of the students were amply rewarded as the school was presented a trophy of Honorable Mention by the city of Rochester.
