F95 Tl1e student body of North Central Christian College launch- ed probably the biggest project ever undertaken by a student body of a Christian college. Plans and procedures for OPERA- TION IO were presented to the student body on December 15, 1959, at the Christmas Banquet. OPERATION 10 is a student project designated to assemble the funds necessary to build a planned 2132003300 dormitory build- ing. North Central Christian College will have to have this new building ready for use next fall if it expects to accept the large increase in enrollment indicated by incoming applications. The Student Council took the suggestion of Leonard Blake and planned this campaign. A committee. co-nsisting of Leonard Blake, Chairman, Betty Cross, Susan Sturdivant, James Hall, and Larry Leslie was selected to plan and guide OPERATION 10. All students of NCCC were eligible to compete for prizes in a participation contest being run in conjunction with OPERA- TION l0. The administration of NCCC offered an unlimited number of very worth-while prizes for this contest. To the stu- dent responsible for the largest total contribution, a one-year, full-tuition scholarship will be awarded. North Central Christian College entered in local activities during t'he Christmas season by building a float for the Rochester Annual Christmas Parade. Under the direction of Miss Eva Thompson, the student body constructed a large sleigh, the body of which was gold, the runners and trimming in white, and NCCC. in white against the gold background. The efforts of the students were amply rewarded as the school was presented a trophy of Honorable Mention by the city of Roches ter. .KW wtunmx Directors of Operation 10
