O The custodians have the trenielr dous task of caring for our school and campus. Included in their jOlJ is an endless variety of duties which they most ahly perform. Their maintenance work has lvecll increased with the completion of the new addition. Charles Oskins. John Furland. Leslie Montgomery. and Charles Bliensma take time out from their busy schedule to pose for this picture. Our newly decorated cafeteria is cap- ahly run under the supervision of lVlrs. Elizabeth Anderson and Mrs. Helen Calhoun. Each day for a large number of the student hody and faculty. they plan, prepare, and serve delicious, well- halanced meals. Student assistants help them during hoth of the lunch periods. Those bringing their lunches may pur- chase milk and ice cream liars. . q Q il. 1 . WYHO: The Class of 1956 WHERE: R.T.H.S. WHEN: 1952-1956 Summer came and went for the 127 stu- dents ahout to enter Rochelle Township High School. And then they were freshmen! The wel- coming doors opened wide for the class of '56, Finally, everyone succeeded in locating classrooms and soon liecame a recognized memher of R.T.l-1.5. That year Was filled with many eventsg such as, first footliall and has- ketliall games. and sitting on the front lawn at noon with many trips over to Harryls. And then they were sophomores! They were old hands at high school life hy now. Semester exams, tarily slips, and crowded halls werenit a mystery nnyniore. They en- tertained the new freshmen with a party. lvul the really lrig event of that year was the choos- ing of a class ring. This year the population of the class of '56 was increased hy eleven Steward students. The class rings were picked up. Pink Fantasy. the prom. was planned and given. and Judy Harms went to Girls' State. And now they are seniorsf Some memora- lile moments were: trading senior class pic- tures. getting heads and heights measured for caps and gowns, participating in the produc- tion of the class play. Missouri Legend. sending out graduation invitations. and fi- nally. graduation itself.
