As a governing group. the student council members represent the entire student body. The council representatives were chosen at an election last fall, one member selected from each of the various guidance groups. Ably led by their president, Mike Weather- bee, and advised by Mr. Maris, their sponsor, the group met seventh hour every other Tuesday. I Due to the efforts of the student council, our Homecoming celebration turned out a great success. This is one of their main pro- jects of the year, and they had full charge of all the festivities. The Board is composed of seven members, the elec- tion of Whom is rotated so that just two mem- bers are up for election annually on the sec- ond Saturday in April. Regular meetings of the Board are held on the third Monday of each month in the evening. Claude Holmes and E. J. Orner respectively were elected as this year's president and secretary. The Board has charge of approving teachers and other employees' contracts, of setting the budget for the financing of the school, and of seeing that proper facilities are provided. This year they have been especially busy working on plans for the completion of the new addition and on the purchasing of equip- ment and furnishings for it. Members of the Board check on final plans for the building.

2.7. ,S. 7 Corresponding with the ever increasing stu- dent enrollment, the faculty this year also has increased. Of the thirty-four nieniliers, eleven are new, five being replacements and six ad- ditions. In addition to their regular duties, many oi the faculty members serve as advisors for classes and clubs.
