They won the conference by playing only 4 games. They went unscored and defeated their opponents by decisive scores until their last game in which they defeated the Mt. Morris heavies 21 to 6. Coach Ellis underestimated his boys at the beginning of the season when he said he thought they would be as good as last year's team. George Finlcboner was honored with the captaincy of the squad. The boys came through by winning l4 out of l6 games. They won all of their contere ence games, thereby winning the Champ- ionship cup. They also won all out of town games. They lost a hard fought overtime to Sycamore, who went on to win the Little 7. Their other defeat was a 7 point heart- breaker to Belvidere. The Hublets had height and speed this year and took advantage ot both at every opportunity. Dailey with ll4 points and Brennan with 102 points were high point men of the sea- son.
