STUDENT CCDUNCIL The student activity tickets were received more enthusiastically this year than in any previous year of this plan's brief history in our school. Eighty per cent of the student body took advantage of this economical system of paying class dues and receiving the school paper, the Tatler, and admission to extra-curricular activities. Because these are war times, and money is badly needed by organie zations of mercy, a membership in the lunior Red Cross was secured from our funds for each student with an activity ticket. The Student Council was responsible for the successful homecoming celebration held on October 3lst. The nickelodeon, which the Council purchased last year, continued to provide enjoyment during the noon hours for those who wished to dance. An appointed committee took care of changing the records regularly. scnoos. sus CUSTCDDIANS BUS DRIVERS CAFETERIA GEQRGE VAN I-HSE MRS RAPP ELMER HARMQ CUSTODIANS CDRLO HALL IOHN FURLAND RUSSEL COCHRPN LESLIE MONTGGMERY f SJ I C O ' 0 X If A I , ., , we ff I I 44 ,, 5 3 ,3 I o ' ' 5 I U OFFICERS Advlsor M1ss Leora McSwevn Student Councrl Secretary Treasurer Presrdent Student Councxl V1ce Presldent Mar1b th Eber Reqlna Cecco Lorrame Hansen Bradley Mannlnq Mtldred Hartman N1H9lYS1X stronq wrth Mr Gleske a new faculty member as our sponsor we started our hlqh school career lt dldnt take some of us lonq to become promment m the varlous act1v1t1es Two part1es w1th the Sophomore class were emoyed by a Enterma mto our Sophomore year wtth st1ll more people entermq 1nto act1v1 t1es we were now m full swmq Our party for the freshmen and the1r party 1n return made up the soclal h1qhl1qhts of our second year IU hrqh school As the days rolled along we were soon to real1ze that we would be Jumors before long Oh' Upper classmen at last' W1th everyone as busy as a bee the year hummed qulckly by As trad1t1on would have 1t under the sponsorsh1p of MISS Frost we looked forward to QIVIIEQ the semors a better prom than ever before ln the sp1r1t of the old South mldst a moonllt garden we danced the evenmq away W1th M1ss McSweyn as our sponsor we come to the end of our hlqh school career lt has been four years of studylnq lauqhtnq crymq and workmq toqether and now we shall pass from these qreat halls of learmna 1nto world where each must ao hts separate way ' .,..,...Y,......,,.Y....
