The North Island Championships were held at Robron and the Breakers beat Ballenas of Parksville in the finals by a 50 point margin, after holding off a surprisingly strong Brentwood team in the semi-finals. The team then travelled to Victoria for the Island Tournament and placed Znd behind the host school, Claremont. Going into the B.C. Cham' pionships in Kamloops the Breakers were confident of a strong showing, but this was not to occur. The boys played three weak games, winning one and losing two.
