Corsi was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on April 17, l952. He was commissioned through Officer Candi- date School after graduating from Purdue Univer- sity with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharma- cy. LCDR Corsi's sea assignments include a Divi- sion Officer tour as Forward Propulsion Group Di- vision Officer and later as Electrical Officer in USS KITTY HAWK QCV 631 and as Engineer Offi- cer in both USS RAMSEY QFFG 21 and USS WIL- LIAM H. STANDLEY QCG 321. 4 LCDR Corsi served ashore as Foreign Training Officer and Military Standards Officer at Service School Command, San Diego, CA, and in the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters within the Chief Engineer of the Navy Directorate. COMMANDING OFFICER Commander Donato A. Liuzzi was born in Boston, Massachusetts in September 1948 and was raised in nearby Quincy. He received his com- mission through N ROTC at the College of the Holy Cross, Wor- chester, Massachusetts in June 1970, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from there. CDR Liuzzi's sea assign- ments include division officer tours in USS McMORRIS CDE 10365 and USS CAMDEN QAOE 25, Engineer Officer in USS RAMSEY QFFG 25, and both Steam and Gas Turbine Exam- iner on the staff of Commander in Chief, U. S. Alantic Fleet Propulsion Examining Board. He placed USS SIDES QFFG 145 in commission as Executive Officer and most recently served as Commanding Officer of USS ALBERT DAVID QFF 10505. CDR Liuzzi has served ashore in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations within the Directorate of Man- power, Personnel and Train- ing, and as assignment officer in the Naval Military Person- nel Command. He attended the Naval War College in 1980 and also attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in 1987 Where he concurrently ob- tained a Masters in Public Ad- ministration from George Washington University. CDR Liuzzi holds proven subspecial- ties in Naval Mechanical Engi- neering and Manpower, Per- sonnel and Training Analysis. CDR Liuzzi's awards in- Commander Donato A. He is a graduate of Poteau High School and attended Carl Albert Junior College prior to joining the Navy in 1968. His nearly 22 years of Naval service has in- cluded duty at Naval Communication Station Guam, USS DECATUR QDDG 315, Instructor Duty at Naval Training Center San Diego, CA, USS PROTEUS QAS 191, Instructor Duty at Fleet Training Center Norfolk, VA, USS MARVIN SHIELDS QFF 10663, and as Chief-in-Charge Na- val Telecommunications Center Thirty Second Street San Diego, CA. In July 1986, he graduated with academic hon- --....,1..4,, ,fi ors from the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, Rhode Island. In November 1989 he was selected for a Com- mand Master Chief tour. He joined USS ROBISON in December 1989. Master Chief Reed's awards include the Navy Achievement Medal, five Good Conduct Medals, the Battle Efficiency Ribbon, the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Sea Ser- vice Ribbon. Master Chief Reed is married to the former Ber- nadita Garrido of Guam. They have a son, Robert age 20 and a daughter, Katrina age 18.
