Officer The Engineering Department is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the ships propulsion plant and auxiliaries. In steaming thousands of miles on a Western Pacific deploy- ment, the Engineers provide support for virtually all shipboard systems and activities. ROBISON's Electrical Division maintains the ships'service turbine and diesel genera tors and the distribution of 450 and 110 volt power throughout the ship. In addition, they are responsible for the ships gyro-compass, interior communications equipment, alarms, indicators, and the CCTV LCDR T. Holder, Engin- eering Officer LTJG Zitney, M Div. LTJG Gearey, DCA CWO2 Taylor, ENG. Ad- min. Asst. system. The Boiler Division performs the maintenance and operation of the four 1200 psi boilers and associated equipment. The Machinery Division ensures the smooth operation of shipboard main engines and related equipment. Auxiliaries Division repairs and operates ROBISON's emergency diesels, boa ts, steering, air conditioning, and a wide variety of ships support equipment. Finally, the HT Shop maintains the ships damage control gear in good order and performs all types of hull repair Work.
