U .,,....,--o--' CDR McNULTY attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy, graduating in 1953 and received his commission as Ensign, USNR. He reported for active duty in October, 1953 as Engi- neering Officer of USS BOWMAN COUNTY QLST 3915. He later served in the commissioning crew of USS WINDI-IAM COUNTY LST 11705 as En ineering Officer before selection for appoint C s - - ment to the Regular Navy. From 1957 through 1960, he served in USS ROOKS QDD 8045 as Engineering Officer, and USS BENHAM CDD 7965 as Operations Officer. After attending Tufts University under Navy sponsorship, CDR McNULTY was assigned as Commanding Officer of USS KIOWA QATF 725. Prior to reporting as Executive Officer of ROBISON in March, 1967, he served as an instructor at the U.S. Naval Destroyer School, Newport, Rhode Island, and attended the Command and Staff Course at the U.S. Naval War College. 9 1,-,--.7

After a two-year tour he was ordered to the USS JEFFERSON COUNTY CLST 8455 as Executive Officer. Prior to attending the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, he spent one year with the Amphibious Operational Training Unit at Coronado, California. Upon detactinent from post graduate school LCDR DICKMAN was ordered to Bath, Maine as prospec tive Engineering Officer of the USS IOHN KING CDDC 35 on which he served until june 1962. He then was ordered to the U.S. Naval Destroyer School at Newport, R.l., as an instruc- tor. After almost three years at the Destroyer School, LCDR DICKMAN was ordered to the ROBISON as Executive Officer, reporting for duty in August l965. 8
