It is to the latter group of seafarers that we in ROBISON belong, a vital part of the Sea Power of the United States. Throughout the pages of this book are recorded the men and some of the events which are now part of ROBISON's history. There are recollections of hard Work in maintenance and overhaul, training for War and the ultimate test of efforts - battle. The success we have had in accomplishing our tasks is a tribute to the spirit and ability of the men who are ROBISON. You have made our motto - We Try Harder - a reality. T. W.
