I 3 I s I I i I i I I I r 4 x After graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1953, LCDR DICKMAN was ordered to the USS WEDDERBURN CDD 6845. After a two-year tour he was ordered to the USS JEFFERSON COUNTY QLST 8455 as Executive Officer. Prior to attending the U .S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, he spent one year with the Amphibious Operational Training Unit at Coronado, California. Upon detactment from post graduate school LCDR DICKMAN Was ordered to Bath, Maine as prospective Engineering Officer of the USS JOHN KING QDDG 3 J on which he served until june 1962. He then was ordered to the U.S. Naval Destroyer School at Newport, R.I., as an instructor.
