Lowery Supervising Principal Thomas Slanina Custodian The students of Robinson High School appreciate the eftorts of our School Board to provide the educational facilities and equipment necessary in carrying out the program. Frequently the many good deeds accomplished by a school board are taken for granted. We believe that our School Board is doing everything possible toward making scholastic conditions adequate. ln particular we believe it is fitting to mention the long years of service of Dr. John Wesley Burkett. Dr. Burkett was elected a member of the School Board in 1908 and remained on the board until the period of World War l. After serving his country he was again elected a director in 1920 and has been a member of the board ever since, a period of thirty-six years of service. Ot this time Dr. Burkett served tive years as secretary of the board and about eighteen years as president. He has always had a steadying influence on the board's actions, Robin - 7
