Athletic Director Edith Oliverio Betty Motes Lauren Riley Robert Menefee Robert Grauman Carole Knott HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION Health and physical education instructors constantly evaluate their program. Pleased with the diversity of courses and teaching philosophies offered, they criticize the lack of time for teachers to get to know their students and for students to really learn a sport. Future hopes include widening of the elective and in¬ terscholastic programs and the addition of more team sports. James Hatcher Randy Scott 1 17

GYMNASTICS CLUB The physical education department extends itself to serve beyond the confines of the school day. The Gymnastics Club is a large organization of over 200 members who meet weekly to learn the skills and disciplines necessary to become proficient at this very difticult sport.
