Science MR. KENNETH CARROLL - - Mr. Carroll Extlngulshes MRS. . LEATHA OMAN Science Class Mr. Carroll found it necessary one day to extin- guish the class when the conversation got a little hot over gases. He casually walked over and picked up MR, PAUL the fire extinguisher and PHOOOSH Went the co2 gas SAMARAS in many of the students faces. After the shock, many regarded it as a fun, but cold experience. MR. In Mrs. O'Brian's room 162. 47 gms. of bulky CLARENCE guinea pig was reluctantly stuffed into a beaker, and SMITH weighed on a triple-beam balance. The purpose was not to hurt the guinea pig, but to make a comparison of his weight to his diet. Mr. Samaras, our new science teacher, is mak- ing a first in Robinson history. His ninth grade class is taking up the practice of geology, or, the study of rocks, in simpleton's language. Mr. Smith took up an old but interesting prac- tice, dissection of frogs. Many a student found this an astounding assignment and many went home inter- ested, but not hungry.

Mr. Minard's Mammonth Math Monstroslty Mr. Minard is in charge of Robinson's more complicated class, Algebra. However, at times, more than that goes on in room 309, like the day the paint- ers decided to come up through the window, everyone was sitting there, very calmly fcalmly for an Algebra classy doing their as- signment when a very strange squeaking noise was heard. Everyone looked over toward the window just in time to see the in- vasion. One of the lesser strong girls decided to scream. So, you see, there is never a dull mo- ment in Algebra class. . . Some- body's always doing something! ln general math class this year, we have a new teacher, Mr. Stallsworth. He teaches eighth graders their skills be- fore they go on to higher courses in math. We welcome him, and MR. LEON MINARD MRS . DONALD LAWHON MRS . CYNTHIA MILLER MR. JACK FEVE- House MR. PAUL STALLS- wonrn MR. VIRGIL KLOTZ Business hope that he enjoys teaching our eighth grade students math. f WA sT.::! N' Business 84 Typing Typing is a class in which the students learn a business art, which they can use on their own or possibly to make a living once out of school. This year our business teacher, Mr. Klotz, is back after being very ill. We are glad to see that he is feeling better.

Physical Education Physical education is a class whose purpose is to build the body as well as to teach sportsmanship, teamwork, coordination, and the ability to get along with others.
