The Home Economics Tea In Home Economics this year the girls had a lot of fun planning and presenting a Home Economics tea, in honor of Christmas for their parents and fac- ulty. The girls worked very hard to prepare cook- ies, candies, and other delicious things to eat. The sewing classes also participated by presenting a fashion show, in which they modeled the clothing which they had made themselves. The guests en- joyed it Very much, and it was a chance for the girls to practice being a good hostess. The purpose of the Home Economics classes is to teach the girls to use a kitchen, he a good host- ess, and sew. Band And Orchestra Prepare For Concerts The Orchestra played three concerts this year. the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and also conducts All of which were for both parents and students. Mr. Knepper teaches classes in Graphic Arts, Electricity, Mechani- cal Drawing, and 7th grade Science. Mr Pyles takes care of the wood-working classes, where the guys build anything from footstools to chess tables. He also teaches in Sheet Metal and Mechanical Drawing. MR.
