Student Council This year Student Council worked things a little differently, they held the school fun-nite in Septem- ber instead of in the spring. Student Council also planned an all-school party and a 7th, 8th, and 9th grade party. They had a new method of selecting of- ficers. They had two co-presidents instead of pres. and vice-pres. The co-presidents were Miriam Tra- vis and john Hambright. Through the United Fund drive the student body elected to support a child over seas. Student Council holds meetings every two weeks and will have sever- al inter-city meetings. The Student Council sponsor this year is Mr. jim Gress, who is currently working on his Master's De- gree at W. S. U. He used to teach painting at the parkboard and is a member of the Kansas Watercolor Society fKappa Pij, and is also a member of the So- ciety of North American Artists.

How- ever, some things never change, Mr. Stanley is still our sponsor, and there are still the same deadlines, sales, what picture goes where, who writes what copy, and of course making sure student pictures are placed correctly.
