Beta Club is an honor society open to iuniors and seniors in which a student must hold a grade average of 4.25 to be a member. The club was sponsored by Mr. Robert Laswell and officers were Raymond Murphy, chairman, Tommie Lu Hardin, vice-chairman, Kathy lknayan, secretary-treasurer, and Mindy Johnson, scrapbook. Members attended a convention in Springfield, and a candidate was placed in nomination for a state office. Formal initiation was held for new members in the fall and an informal in January. Concessions for a basketball game were held and all proceeds went to a community service. K. Iknayan sings, Me and My Shadow?
