Latin Club Holds Roman Wedding This year's sponsor for Latin Club was Miss Wilma Nuttall. A slave auction, and concessions at basketball games provided the club 'Th , i 'j with money. Latin Club initiation was held February 4. Roman Wedding was the theme. Beta Club is an honor society open to iuniors and seniors in which a student must hold a grade average of 4.25 to be a member. The club was sponsored by Mr. Robert Laswell and officers were Raymond Murphy, chairman, Tommie Lu Hardin, vice-chairman, Kathy lknayan, secretary-treasurer, and Mindy Johnson, scrapbook. Members attended a convention in Springfield, and a candidate was placed in nomination for a state office. Formal initiation was held for new members in the fall and an informal in January.
