Band Presents Unique Halloween Show The marching and concert bands, under the direction of Mr. Richard gnu Shoulders, consisted of T00 members. The first part of the '50 . 8. season was spent marching at football games. Dance routines and precision drills were main features of the half-time programs. The band participated in the Oblong, Palestine Labor Day, and EIU Homecoming Parades. After marching season ended, they began work on concert music. Much stress was placed on technique for the 1971-72 year. They gave Winter and Spring Concerts and played at basketball games. A trip to Chicago in April was highlighted by visits to the Museum of Science and lndustry, Band members go trick-or-treating during the Museum of Natural Science, and h lft' . . .
