The Lettermen's Club was sponsored by Mr. Jack Reeder and led by Warren Persinger, president, David Hancock, vice-president, and Steje Hanna, secretary-treasurer. The members used the new film projector to review football and basketball games. Access to the lettermen's room in the boy's gym and proceeds from the pop machine help them earn money to buy sport equipment and new blazers for next year. 00 Keg Club's Purpose - Service The Key Club at RHS exists for the purpose of service to school and community. At the Carnival they had a basketball throw and had concessions at a basketball game. Each year they take on several Christmas proiects. They give out candy to the mentally handicapped at the school, collect old toys for needy children in the community, and give food baskets to one of the needy families in Robinson. ln the Spring they help with the March of Dimes. fam . 4 X C. J zz Band on Top Again at EIU Again the RHS Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Richard Shoulders, took first place at the EIU Jazz Band Festival. After the loss of T0 seniors last year, the band has spent much time and hard work in again achieving the high standard of their musical ability. Engagements of the iazz band included playing for several homecomings, and also the cancer telethon. They are also looking forward to playing for the Lawrenceville prom.
