Many of the members gave a help- ing hand in serving refreshments to parents the night of Open House. The Future Homemakers of America sponsored the annual Christmas party for pre-schoolers. Hl-Y PROMOTE CHRISTIAN IDEAS To promote Christian surround- ings in and around R.H.S. is the goal of the Hi-Y, an organization sponsored by the Y.M.C.A. The boys, under the direction of iVIr. Carl Miller, held their bi-weekly Crawford County Men ' s Christian Fellowship Breakfasts at Crutch- field ' s restaurant. In April the Hi-Y sent representatives to the 21st An- nual Youth Legislature at Spring- field, which proved to be an inter- esting, learning experience for those boys attending. The F.F.A. members worked industriously during the year, sponsoring a dart throw and a crazy ball at the Carni- val. Along with their advisor, Mr. Smith, the club journeyed to Buffalo, Illinois to see an annual farm progress show. This was the club ' s first year to have a girl to join the club.
