STUDENT COUNCIL This year ' s Council was composed of determined and diligent worl ers. Their president was the very capable, Nancy Adams, and Mr. Pinkstaff was the new faculty sponsor. Members prompted the Pepsi Dances, the Carnival, the Harvest Festival Dance, and the Sadie Hawkins Dance. Keeping the Pepsi machines filled, along with the new job of chang- ing the current events sign the Council members were kept busy. The Student Council ' s newest activity was exchang- ing students and ideas with Newton, Mattoon, and Charleston. Council mem- ber, Bridget Roads, was elected district president. The council also worked to get changes made in the school ' s dress code. M W '
