:: . SENIORS PRESENT UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE The Senior Class of 1970 presented Up the Down Stair- case. The play, under the supervision of Mrs. Katherine Caraway, was a complete suc- cess. The part of Miss Barrett, who was a young, idealistic schoolteacher teaching school in a big city, was portrayed by Lynn Driscoll. The story of this English teacher and her problems with both student and faculty members touched its audience close to the heart.

Student Director J. BULLA JUNIORS PRESENT CRUCIBLE The Crucible proved to be an exciting and unusual type of entertainment for those who attended. It was a drama that involved the Salem witch hunt. Many innocent towns- people were condemned because Abigail Williams, portray- ed by Teresa Gallo, was in love with John Proctor, portray- ed by Mike Davis, who failed to return her love; thus stay- ing faithful to his wife Elizabeth, played by Mary Crebs. Her revenge was so powerful that many, including John Proctor, were killed. The fiery trials were presided over by a very narrow-minded judge. Deputy Governor Danforth who was portrayed by Joe Comer. This year ' s play was directed by Mr. Larry McCoy with Jan Bulla acting as student director. The Junior Class Play proved to be an outstanding performance by the class of 71 . p
