The Robinson Industrial Educational As- sociation was organized in 1948 with its pur- pose to stimulate a high class of workmanship; to assist in guiding members into vocations which best suit their needs, interests, and abilities; to promote a higher scholastic stand- ing; and to promote recreational activities. The Art Club is one of the newer clubs at RHS. It was organized in 1956 under the di- rection of Mr. Max Rennels. During the first year the membership was 27. These members went to Chicago in April 1957, where they visited the Art Institute and the Museum of Sci- ence and Industry. The membership this year is also 27. Each member must either be enrolled in an art class or have been, at some time. The club’s purpose is to further the inter- Seated: J. CE This house is one which was built by the boys who are in Building Trades. BUILDING TRADES Building trades class, under the direction of Mr. Harold Mieure, is made up of 12 stu- dents. The purpose of this class is to enable its students to have a better understanding of the skill involved in the actual building trade. Also, through this class they gain experience in such fields as plumbing, masonry, carpeniry, elec- tricity, and painting.
