DRAMA CLUB OFFICERS One of the scheduled meetings of Drama Club Seated: J. Guyer, President; M, Guyer, Treasurer. Standing: D. Wood, Vice President; S. Moore, Secretary. The Drama Club is one of the largest and one of the most active clubs in the school. The purpose of the club is to try to train its members in the theatrical arts. Anyone in the high school that has an in- terest in drama may join the club. This year D R A M A G L U B there are about 83 members. Some of the many activities in which the club participates are: the Drama Club play which was ‘‘East Lynne’’ this year, the speech contest, the carnival finale, and the Christmos program. Doyle, Vice President. “Act well your part, there all the honor lies,’ is the motto of the honorary dramatic so- ciety, Thespians, at RHS. The National Thespian society is an edu- cational honor and service organization of teachers and students, established for the ad- vancement of dramatic arts in the secondary schools. The goals of the society are: (1) to establish and advance standards of excellence in all phases of dramatic arts, and (2) to create an active and intelligent interest in dra- ’ THESPIANS matic arts, among boys and girls in the high schools. Membership into Thespians is granted to Drama Club members who have performed meri torious work in dramatic arts and have met qualifications set up by the Thespian organiza- tion.
