Robinson High School has a well-planned campus of thirty-one acres. In 1910, the main building was erected. Then in 1920 the vo- cational building was added. In 1921, the main building was de- stroyed by fire, but it was rebuilt by 1922. In 1939, our excellent gym- nasium was completed. In 1954, twenty-eight new classrooms, a farm shop, an industrial arts shop, a cafeteria and a girls’ gym were added. Approximately 45 teachers teach a variety of courses, which are offered in every major field. A student body of 1,000 passes through the doors to class 185 days of the year. RHS is ranked as one of the highest centers of learning in Southern Illinois. In times gone by and as time passes, RHS advances to meet a growing community's needs.
