OFFICERS The Science Club’s main. objectives are to increase the interest of students in the field of science and to give them an oppor- tunity to experiment with their scientific ideas. Its membership is made up of students from all science classes, the only require- ment being that each one takes a year of science. Each year the entire club takes a fieid trip to some particular place of interest in the field of Science. This year the club visited the Eli Lily Company, where polio Vaccine is produced, the Allison Airplane Manufacturing Company and the Airport. LX Se ee = BOTTOM ROW—B. Teasley, Treas.; B. Wilson with their cloud chamber ex- periment which won first place at the State Science Fair. As a member of the Junior Academy of Science, the club was eligible to exhibit several experiments at the Science Fair. This year our club was proud of the State : 1m Fair. ETING Page 23

The Thespians hold a banquet each year to initiate new members who must have earned points through their work in Drama Club. The two clubs often work in unison to present school programs.
