Burke, Paze 16 High school students in journalist work are rewarded for their pursuits by member- ship in Quill and Scroll, an honorary society for junior and senior high school journalists. However, to qualify for membership, a news- paper or yearbook staff member must have either 300 printed inches or 300 equivalent hours of work. Students of either staff may become associate members if they have 200 hours or work. Quill and Scroll has two an- nual initiations. The Student Council sponsors the all-school Carnival, the Christmas dinner, the Law- renceville exchange program, and many Pepsi dances after the ball games. It brought six Lyceum numbers to the school this past year. Membership is made up of the officers: one representative from each activity room, six holdover members, and the four class presidents.
