' I ' I . .... , , ' Di CLASS OF 48 On August Z8 1944 twenty four frlghtened freshrnen entered R T H S After we were properly 1n1t1ated, we lost no tlme 1n organ 1z.1ng our group and electxng the followlng as leaders pres1dent Fred Holy v1ce pres1dent Florence Fa1r1ey reporter Delores Fa1rley secretary and treasurer Margaret Evans, and advlsor Mlss Naseef After the joys fears and struggles of our f1rst year we were ready for vacatmon At that tune Bxlly K1etzman decxded to f1n1sh h1s h1gh school In the fall of 45 we came back happy that we had surv1ved our freshman year We elected Joanne Netherton presldent Fred Holy v1ce pres1dent Betty Thompson secretary and treasurer Doyle Walters re porter and Mlss Farr advisor Two more left our class leavlng us twenty one to start our Jumor year Margaret Evans went to Qumcy and Doyle Walters jozned the Army Alr Corps We were Jolly Juxuors and glad to be upperclassmen when we came back 1n the fall of 46 We started the year off by electlng Mary Ann Havener pres1dent Frances Arnold v1ce presxdent Fred Holy secretary and treasurer Betty Thompson reporter and M1ss Russell adv1sor We lost Donald Benz during the year when he moved to Mlnnesota but shortly after that B111 Carpenter came to 10111 our class At the end of the year Aldene Tornowslu declded on marrmage and Reglna Garmon and Dxlworth Hemp left for other schools.
