Yes she's specializing in the Phil- adelphia Pediatrics llospital with the usual efficiency of her training school days-Debby is fulfilling her dreams as a typical nurse and is gracing the halls of a Norfolk, Virginia hospital as 0. June Cramner leaves her worries of tl1e Student Council to June Young. Betty Ohl wills her 'tPennsylvania Dutch accent to Lois Michael. Dorothy Lampart leaves her Hsilent-butler to Esther Darrow. Florence Lampart leaves her inquisitiveness to Catherine Mes- sersmith. P kBetty Young leaves her pussy-like sneezes to little Bobby ac er, tie kitchen kitten. Esther Tigue leaves her alarm clock to Pauline Parker. Gertrude Dobson wills her sweet disposition to Esther Grover. To Alice Griswold and Kathryn Norton, we, Cecilia Connolly and Vivian Noelk, leave fond memories and two of the Nurses, Home most comfortable beds. lVe, the present inmates of the Third Home bequeath to whose good fortune it may fall to occupy this simple but homy abode the following items: 1-The bountiful evening snacks interrupted at regular in- tervals by numerous phone calls. 2-The ample supply of cool water for one's evening bath which is accompanied by the rhythmical trickle of cold water dripping down your back from someone's freshly laundered clothes. Miss Thomas and Miss Dobson will their room which is the most direct and popular route to the bathroom tday or nightj to two future Seniors. Misses Tigue and Cranmer will their bird's eye view of the f1'011t door. Misses Fritchley and Stackhouse leave their luxurious beds and their ability to entertain callers in the living room. Misses Hembury a11d Stafford will their easy access to the phone and front door. Wie all leave the pleasant supervision and congenial companion- ship of Misses Jones and Semans. And to the Sayre Police, we leave an urgent request for the presence of one cop on the corner of Hospital Place to relieve traffic congestion at ten o'clock on our nights out provided the future occu- pants are fortunate enough to have the same mode of transportation! As we depart, taking with us many memories of happy and abun- dant three years, we leave behind Betty Young, Olive Bagley and Gertrude Hembury as executors of our last will and testament. Millie has left the ranks of nurses and is making her mark in the world on .lohnnie's exam. papers-Gladys' love of Bar-B-Qls and hatred of cramming still persists but she is a good general duty in Carbondale in spite of her increasing girth-Dotty was last heard from shortly before Japan attacked Africa where she was stationed as an army nurse-Flossie still hasn't her one wish to ind someone to support her so sl1e can settle down and so sl1e is doing visiting nursing in Honesdale-Our class president .lunie has departed for the Alaskan front Where she is capably managing a base hospital-De inure Marion is doing general duty at tl1e Packer and anxiously wait- ing for the close of the war and tl1e return of Bob-Dashing, glamor- ous Viv is a successful special in an exclusive Hollywood rest home where she rivals the stars in her popularity with several famous men- about-toWn- Gosh, I've been day-dreaming again, it's nearly time to heat the baby's bottle- -BETTY FRITCHLEi'A, '42 Especially for You lJon't get discouraged lying in bed .lust think of the future you have ahead, For a graduate nurse soon you'll be To bestow love, kindness and courtesy. It's upon your health you depend The power of healing you extend, The faith in God you carry through, The kindness you show, the things you do. The way you walk, look and smile XVill be remembered a long, long while. So, be confident, loyal, trusting, and gay As you go forward each new day.
