As American burst from the lips of the student nurses, par- ents and friends eould not help feeling proud of the girls who stood before them and the Wonderful profession they had ehosen. She never saw a leaping flame This gentle, slender thing But syvays upon her fragile base While all, her praises sing. But what is happening to my beautiful ghost? She fliekers with a sigh. And suddenly shoots a blue white flame To all the Gods on High. So like my eandle, l hesitate Uautiously lieking the flame lvntil I can prove that my flame is pure And nurse, a worthy name.
