Um cgbmialeadeat' www EiEF2gMM2 x The success of our school depends on the success of each indi- vidual, pupil, teacher and patron. The failure of any one of these in their efforts to build better schools is sure to retard our devel- opment. Boys and girls are better trained than ever before. Our schools are wetting better each year. School patrons who keep close contact with the school know the truth of this statement. A chain is as strong as its weakest link. This adage is appli- cable to our schools. It behooves all of us to lag aside our little petty grievances and work toward better schools, better churches and better communities. Our ecomomic life is rather well determined for us. Our social and spiritual life is largely up to us. It is a part of our educat- ion. We must learn to work together. Many people in every communi- ty have a desirable influence on the school boys and girls. Daniel Webster expressed this thought clearly when he said, Ulf we work upon marble, it will perish, if on brass, time will efface ity if we rear temples, they will crumble into dustg but if we work upon im- mortal minds, and imbue them with principles, with the just fear of God and love of our fellow men, we engrave on those tablets something that will brighten to all eternity.n
