SENIOR PLAY The Senlor Class of 1950 presented Seventeenth Summer by Maureen Daly on Fr1day nlght February 17 IH the High School Gymnasxum The Semor Play was a heart warrrung comedy 1n three acts Many late hours were spent and much hard work done by the class but the play reaped large proflts and a slgh of rellef and pleasure when lt was all over The Characters 1ncluded Angle Morrow a charmlng sens1t1ve glrl of seventeen just on the threshold of grow1ng up Lurlyne Pettlt made the part l1ve for everyone Kltty Morrow a devllmsh l1ttle glrl of ten won the hearts of the aud1ence as only Olene Cole could Margaret Morrow the eldest daughter of the Morrow fammly and a college graduate of twenty one proved to be s1ncere and natural 1n the person of Joyce McCutchen Lorralne Morrow Just older than Ang1e Lorralne was an attractlve college Sophomore wrth an a1r of assured happlness The whole fam1ly worrled about her and her troubles Joyce Llttlefmeld portrayed Lorralne, and won the sympathy of everyone Mrs Morrow a pretty woman 1n her fortles w1th an agreeable manner and very devoted to her home and chlldren The attent1ve character of Mother was portrayed by Janet Bxlbo Mr Morrow a shghtly greyed man 1n h1s late fortles had many d1ff1cult1es wlth K1tty under foot Royce Srnlth began to beheve he really had grey halr before he f1n1shed h1s part as Father Jack Deluth a frrendly and smcere boy of exghteen made Ang1e's seventeenth summer someth1ng to remember because he was her frrst boyfr1end Raymond McGall1an d1d the honors of Jack very ably Margle an attractlve but rather gosslpy grrl was very 1nvo1ved 1n the actlon of the plot Not a character part but very well played by Jean Hurley Jane an attractlve glrl that knew how to get a man when she saw one she wanted D1x1e Taylor had everyone wonderlng what she would do next as Jane Mart1n Lorra1ne's superclhous boyfrlend had a bad case of nerves espec1ally where Kltty was concerned Merhn M1tche1l Semor Sponsor took the part and kept the audlence laughmg Fltz Marg1e's 'true love' and a very vxtal character IH her hfe Vlctor Wogtek played the part of F1tz very well Tony dated Jane and adm1redAng1e but Angxe cou1dn't see h1m for Jack Don Joel Schooler made a perfect 'Tony' U H . .
