This year's team, which is the first one from Huntington High School to be entered in the Suffolk County tournament, wrestled six meets, winning two, losing two, and tying two. Most of the twenty-six members of the squad are freshmen, sophomores, or iuniors in order to insure next year's team of experienced members. Coach Kubisa was very well pleased with this team and hopes that he will soon have facilities for a J. V. squad. Coach John Sipos' cagers ended up with an over all record of seven wins and ten losses. Only two wins were in league play, but they were enough to keep the team out of the cellar spot. Even though it was a mediocre season, few fans will forget the stirring one-point wins over North Tarrytown C56-555 and Babylon C64-63l. In the lost game of the season Ed Gardiner broke the home court scoring record by drop- ping in 31 points. The Jayvee, who won 'Il and lost 6, deserve a fine hand for their good showing. Our hats are off to both squads. Well done, k 'Hx Mr. Sipos Coach boys! if Samara, Q15 54 VARSITY BASKETBALL Left to right: E. Latimer, R. Soule, D. Willets, D. Pagono, B. Carlson, Mgr. B. Whether you are a six toot four mountain of muscle or a miqhty midget, this is your chance for intramural participation. GIRLS' BASKETBALL XP' Intramural Basketball Intramural basketball, headed by Coach Class, not only gives the average basketball player a chance but also inspires rivalry among the sophomores, iun- iors and seniors. It is composed of six teams - a blue team and a white team for each class. 0 O no Ei t Still 1.46 if BOYS' MINOR SPORTS Back Row Heft to rightj: N. Barmen, K. Johnson, I. Albinson, C. Keller, E.
