They helped Locomotive our T-E-A-M into many V-l's by gaining the enthusiastic support of Huntington fans. They are outstanding for their lively assemblies and musical cheers with the band. No, you wouldn't lose Two Bits bet- ting' that this year's cheerleaders have been a real pride For The Blue And The White! Cross Country I inhale great draughts of space . . . This year the Simpson High har- riers made a for better showing than expected, thanks to the influx of stu- dents from Toaz. The record of the hard running team, coached by Mr. Marlowe, was four wins and three losses. The top men were Art Spear, senior, Fred Muehlen, junior, Eric Holm- gren, freshman, Doug Swezey, fresh- man and .lim Owen, junior. One of the bright spots was Doug Swezey's plac- ing twenty-first in the New York State meet. Boys' Student Leaders This prominent organiza- tion is comprised of boys who excel in athletic and leader- ship ability. Their chief duty is to aid Coach Class in the gym. Down the field goes our trusty hockey team pushing that white, but dirty ball, and then comes the inevitable cry, Drive! Drive! How well the girls will remember those driving practices when they nearly crippled the poor goalie for lite. And how well they will remember those noisy, and I do mean noisy, bus rides to and from the games.
