Graduation Night. . . Finally For the 1983 graduates, time pro- bably seemed endless from the day they were finished at school until Saturday, May 29 rolled around. This was Lee's year to be last in the series of North East high school gradu- ations. Two important events occurred at the ceremony. The first one was the initiation of honor graduate classifi- cation of summa cum laude f99+l, magna cum laude Q95-993 and cum laude 190-94l. . The second event was that this was Mr. Bill Evans' last graduation ceremony as Lee principal because of his promotion to Director of Transportation for the District. Deputy sheriffs and faculty monitors surveyed the huge crowd in order to keep the services with the air of proper decorum. The ceremony went along smoothly, and anxious seniors became apprehensive graduates. Are you hiding anything in there? asks Counselor Mary Lou Davis.
