Juniors for the first time are introduced to the very spe- cial characteristics of Willia m Shakespeare's Macbeth Sophomores a n d fr e s h m e n are g e t t i n g experience through essays and term themes. They also read such books as The Pearl to broaden their imaginations. Now on a four-year curriculum, some teachers are even gaining experience by teaching freshmen for the first time in many years. The English program at Lee is set up in a way so that the students can venture into the real meaning of literature at its best. Not only is literature explored, but English grammar is taught for four years.
