W v , , W., Q , , LARRY HAIGLER JOE CURTIS MIKE TEAGUE Senior Halfbcck Senior Fullback Junior Center For the second year in a row the Tuscaloosa Black Bears stopped the vaunted Lee Generals. This time the score was i6-7. Coach Jones' Generals shook halfback Louis Priester loose on a 93-yard touchdown run on the opening kickoff, but a leaky pass defense ruined chances for an undefeated season. After Priester's run, the Bears came charging back 70 yards for a touchdown. Undaunted, the Generals moved from deep in their own territory to the Bear 4-yard line. Howard Bozeman took the ball into the end zone, but the touchdown play was nullified. The Generals battled back until a Bobby Enslen pass fell into the hands of Wayne Wright, who ran it back to the Tuscaloosa 34. Late in the first half the Bears scored when Ronnie Wedgeworth ran 29 yards and then Kincaid threw a long touchdown pass to Tom Patton. Tuscaloosa's ol-yard punt rolled dead at the Lee two-yard line. After 2 Lee running plays failed, Paul Boschung tackled Lee's Enslen in the end zone for 2 points that gave the Bears a 9-point margin. The second half was scoreless as the Generals had their hands full holding the heavier Bears at bay. The loss was Lee's tenth in lO season's of prep competition. Tuscaloosa thus ioins Lanier as the only teams with more than one victory over the Generals. Priester Scores lee's Lone TD 151
