The purpose of the Spanish Club is to create interest in and good will among the Spanish speaking countries through understanding of their vivid language, customs and culture. This purpose is well achieved by the interest- ing programs within the club and its co-operation in school activities. The Members enioyed special guests from foreign countries, panel discussions, and films about various countries. The highlight of the year's activities, however, was their gala Fiesta, a long anticipated event enioyed by everyone at Lee.

FRENC LUB To promote an interest in French, the French Club has participated annually in the State Confederation ot French Clubs and come home with coveted prizes. On the social side, the members of the club present each spring a gala Mardi Gras Ball to which our student body is invited. LATIN CLUB The Latin Club of Robert E. Lee High School is affiliated with the Junior Classical League, a nation-wide organi- zation which functions as a classical club on a secondary school level. Among the highlights of activities sponsored by the club are: a Saturnalian celebration in December, the Roman banquet in March, and Latin week observed in April.
