Spanish Club Spreads Culture Through various activities the members of the Spanish club were able to receive a deeper understan- ding of the Spanish culture. This club, which consisted of over 150 members, met on the fourth Friday of each month. To help aid the cost of their annual trip to Mexico, the members sold candy and had a Mex- ican supper. Scholars Excel Outstanding achievement in Spanish scholarship hardly slipped by unnoticed as the Spanish National Honor Society recognized excellence in this area. This club, which con- sisted of forty-five members, was sponsored by Mrs. Ines Frornbaugh and Mrs. Mireya Estevez. The members sold candy to help finance the Spanish department's needs and to finance the club's annual banquet in May. The club went to the Ballet Folklorico, which is a bilingual theater. The members treated the children at Ripley House to a Hallo- ween party and also organized their annual Thanksgiving canned food drive.
