Beverly Hill at Hillcroft - Lee High School- Expanding intellectual horizons and preparing students for their future. Such a ridiculous statement! The students of Lee in 1978 never considered this conventional goal of pure preparation. We lived for the pres- ent, in a world of our own creation, a community that harbored every component of the massive society outside. Personalities and activities, suc- cesses and failures, and emotions - all were vital elements of both worlds. But our bountiful energy as young adults led to a burst of life that could seldom be found in the outer world, and experiences etched memories on our minds with a force we would never feel again - totally within the confines of our brief high school existence. We saw a mixture of fresh outlooks with past tradition. Remaining witnesses of the '74 riot had graduated with the previous senior class. Though our cliquish tendencies were obviously present, the hardline jet-freak-kikker distinc- tions became less noticeable.
