Lee C0uIdn't Be Prouder After winning their positions as cheerleaders last spring, the new squad had a major adjustment to make, each member had to realize his responsibility to the school and to the rest of the squad. The cheerlead- ers spent many long afternoons in May learning cheers and stunts. Throughout the summer, considera- ble work was necessary to get uni- forms and to prepare for camp. In early August, the squad attended the NCA camp at SMU. The cheerleaders won six blue ribbons, one red ribbon, and the highly cov- eted spirit stick. ln addition, the squad learned new cheers and chants, along with other helpful information. All of this preparation was needed to enable the squad - Rick Causey and Marianne Andrews - head- cheerleaders, Tracy larrell, Paul Haef- ner, Megan Foley, lohn Mayfield, Cathy Prince, and Dan Lovett - to achieve their goal for the year. They wanted to build the GREAT SPIRIT OF LEE. With endless devotion to their job, the squad, under the guid- ance of Miss Regina Satlof, supported the Generals with their never-ending spirit and pride for Lee. 0 K :w,t.,.. .sim l, Tracy larrell 2.
