General Enthusiasm Generates Spirit Planning pep rallies, painting posters, decorating the auditorium, and wrap- ping football boys' houses before each game are only a few of the many activities of the Spirit Committee. No grade require- ments are specified, but each member must be willing to spend time helping to boost the morale of the Lee student body. Under the guidance of Mr. Dale Glover and Miss Doris Countee, these enthusiastic students support all school activities and keep Leeites informed of sports events such as track meets and football, basket- ball, baseball, and volleyball games. The annual cookie sale and car wash helped raise money needed for decorating supplies - poster paper, paints, brushes, and tape. By working hard to generate an enthu- siastic school spirit, the Spirit Committee achieved its General goal. 'la-il These spirited supporters are Booster Club of- ficers Uncle Bob Gribble, president, and Jane Livingston, secretary-treasurer. While Spirit Committee chairman Wissie Sla- tor insists only action will make the South rise again, Doug Bratton, vice-president in charge of Uncle Bob, still wants peace. 1971-72 Spirit Committee members are - Row I: Sarah Seward, Richard Capps, Jane Livingston, Lisa Clarke, Neel Bonner, Tweety Albritton, Dick Eastland, Patty Hayes, Jeff Wherry, Evelyn Bumstead, Melinda Fugitt, Doug Bratton.
