SSLC Initiation, cmd March of Dimes Drive The Confederate Ball at Sylvan Beach over- shadowed most events in the month of Mid- term. The Histoly Clubgs annual dance was the success of the year. March of Dimes drives took place nearly every Saturday. One Satur- day, a radiothon 'gracked upi' over a thousand dollars for the worthy cause. In January the favorites were elected. THE NATIVITY SCENE from the Christmas Pageant was the highlight of the Christmas assembly. We Enjoyed the Christmas Pcxgecm The activities shown on this page represent the versatility of many students at Lee. The story of the Birth of the Christ Child is por- trayed each Christmas season to a hushed audience by the Drama, Choral and Art De- partments. This year the great Gander football team advanced to the semi-finals in the state play- offs, again bringing fame and recognition to ROBERT E. LEE in this field. The basic factor of all schools, education, is recognized by the National Honor Society, which includes juniors and seniors with a 90 or above average. Senior Play, Time Trialsg Keep February-March Busy FEBRUARY WAS ONE of our busiest months. Basketball season Came to an end. THE LEE TRAVELER was finished. The King and Queen Assembly was held in all its gran- deur. The Senior Play was a great success. Time trials were held in track for the first time. The girls had their night at the Twirp Dance.
