His sum- mer school programs have in- cluded study at the University of Virginia and Columbia University of New York. His main interest outside of school lies in farming. Her hobby outside of school is music. She is a member of Central Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Green Hills Garden Club. Mrs. Olive H. Couch B.S. University of North Carolina M.S. Madison College Shorthand and V.O.T. Arithmetic Mrs. Couch is a sponsor of the Future Business Leaders of America group at Lee. She is a member of the First Baptist Church and belongs to the Business Women's Circle. She has taught at Lee for seven years.

Miss Mary Aurelia Barton B.A. Mary Baldwin College M.A. University of Virginia English Miss Barton has taught in the English department of Lee High for eleven years, She is a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She coaches the debating teams for Harrison- burg and Lee High. Miss Catherine Bickle B.A. Longwood College Spanish and English Miss Bickle teaches 8th grade English and first and second year Spanish. In order to broaden her knowledge in Spanish, she studied at the University of Madrid, and traveled in Mexico. 10 Mrs. Nell D. Allen A.B. Mary Baldwin College Arithmetic Mrs. Allen does circle work at Loch Willow Presbyterian Church and her outside hob- bies are flowers and horseback riding.

Mrs. Louise M. Crisp B.A. Westhampton English Mrs. Crisp has been at Lee for six years and is the sponsor of our S.C.A. She has traveled abroad, is a member of the D.A.R. and the Beverley Garden Club. Mrs, Clara Yates Cummins A.B. University of Pittsburg History and Geography Mrs. Cummins teaches World Geography and American History in her first year at Lee.
