The student is encouraged by teachers to increase his understanding of the English language that he speaks and thinks with by learning about its history and its grammar. But, each clay the cafeteria staff prepares hot plate lunches for hundreds of hungry Rebels. Outside the cafeteria, the snack bar pro- vides a wicle range of snack foods. Both of these serve Lee in ways that we could not do without. 21
