Coaches johnson, Grady and Whalen have done a tre- mendous job with the Mighty Stonewall Brigade. Stonewall Brigade completed their season with a six win and four loss record. The greatly united team, along with it's efforts, managed to show its opponents the Lee j.V. was TOPS!! , Beginning the season with an early start, Lee j.V. worked out every morning, drilling, running and hit- ting hard. The fantastic footballers came through the season with a third place in the 5AAAA. By the seventh game, Lee J.V.'s most valuable play- ers were injured and out for the season. The Stonewall Brigade had come a long way. Lee J.V. practiced Labor Day in order to be ready for their first day.

I 'na 1 .1-,- ., --av 5 To open the season, Rebels traveled to Lubbock to take on the Westerners. During the first half of the game, the Maroon Platoon powered its way from a ten point deficit to score four more touchdowns to win the game. On September 12, the Rebs played a great defense against the fired-up Snyder Tigers. After the smoke cleared, LHS chalked up its second big win.. Plainview's visit to Rebeland marked the close of a non-district play for the Rebel grid- ders as the Rebs were slipped another win. When Lee and Odessa met at Barrett Sta- dium, they were the only two undefeated teams in 5-AAAA. Again our Rebs proved themselves when .they blasted over the Bronchos. The Lee Rebels suffered their first defeat to the San Angelo Bobcats. Due to costly mis- takes in .the second half, the Bobcats took a commanding lead that the Rebels were un- able to overcome. Lee,s hopes for another chance at district champs were all but shattered by Abilene. With the loss to Cooper, the Rebels dropped to 1-2 in the district race. Lee's Clyde Gary accounted for all of Leeis touchdowns when the Rebels took on the Big Spring Steers. Lee moved to 2-2 in the district when they defeated the Steers. VVhen the Rebels and the Panthers met in Odessa, it was a tough battle all the way. Both teams were scoreless until the end of the third quarter when Permian -slipped by and scored a touchdown. Later in the fourth quar- ter they were able to add a field goal to win over the Rebels. The Eagles were let down as Lee defeated them by a score of 14-7. Lee's first score of the night came on a one-yard play by Bobby Humble. The 1975 game between the two Crosstown rivals proved to be a tough defensive battle that resulted in a tie for the second year in a row. Our Mighty Maroon Platoon chalks up another victory.
