Home arade Finally Homecoming rolled around the comer, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement. Ou uctober 10, the students of Lee High School gathered to- gether to Sock it to San Angelo Day. Everyone wore his craziest, wildest socks to show his school spirit. Bright greens, blues, reds, and yellows added to the kaleido- scope of the day's activities. There were socks of all varieties with stripes, plaids, and even some with toes! Pants were rolled up to the knees and everyone got into the act. Mrs. White, Mrs. N. Hetzel, and Mr. Cooper rolled up their pants and joined in the fun. VY ft: 3- V gn li 1. 'v Kelly Young, Kathy Rogers, and Donald Duck enjoy Homecoming festivities. x The theme for Homecoming included Bicentennial Walt Disney characters. Get Dancing The interval between the Home- coming parade and the dance seemed as if it would last forever. But the time finally arrived and the doors were opened, inviting every- one into the youth center, a brightly decorated room filled with cheer and excitement. Walt Disney entered the picture with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy carrying over the Bicentennial theme dressed as revo- lutionary soldiers heading to battle. The dance was showered with an ar- ray of formals and sharp-looking suits, students ever present with fun loving smiles and vibrant laughter. The speakers rocked on .their stands as music blared through them, ur- ging dancers to the repeating rhythm of the drums. Refreshments included spiked punch and a wide variety of cookies.
