A Tale of Four Lunch Periods Bbbrringg!! Whew! Finally, the lunch bell! The steam of students forms into a rampaging river then divides into four tributaries: Upperclassmen, who take the opportunity of off-campus eating; underclassmen, who have no choice but to go to the cafeteria; the studious ones who use their time wisely in the library; and the daring ones who sneak off campus fora morsel of real food. But quick, either way taken must be executed in the shortest length of time ... without developing indigestion. Decisions, decisons. Gulp! Bbbrringg!! Uh-oh. Better hurry — can't be tardy. Run, run!! Bbrringg! When! TOP LEFT: Hillary Utay decided that off campus is better. TOP RIGHT: Pam Ford on her way to lunch. ABOVE LEFT: I hope you don't get caught! ABOVE RIGHT: Tammy Larders LEFT: Allison Brown chose flame-broiling over frying. Student Life — 13

Christmas... Lee Style! The Pre-Christmas holiday season was celebrated at Lee in all the grandeur possible. December 12 was the night when the girls laid out their formats and the guys straightened their bow-ties. The annual Christmas Dance, in which the Southern Belle Officers were presented with their escorts, proved to be quite a success despite the extreme scarcity of parking places at Harvey Hall due to the other football games and parties. Also, to get everyone in that special holiday mood, an assembly was held the day school dismissed with entertainment supplied by Good Vibrations, Santa Claus and his elves. TOP Sonya Ha mo and her date. ABOVE: Kandy Rainwater, Kelly Barenkamp. Jennifer Bartley, and Chris Lennon. ABOVE RIGHT: Mike Robinson distributes candy during the Christmas assembly.
